I write verses to make sense of the images I find floating just beyond my consciousness. I write to make sense of the news, stories, and events full of human suffering and injustice. With these verses I offer absolution to the monsters and Gods who are supposed to be saviors of all that is holy and all that is not, both sides of the coin, welded together, using the heat from our collective breaths.
I read poetry to heal and to find kindred souls to learn and adorn and adore. I read poetry to convince myself we are still human because sometimes it doesn’t seem so.
Images are so complicated and vivid and real, and I believe that I will somehow survive together with the words and the rhymes.
Poetry is the only thing now that seems tangible.
Online friends are distant and cannot be trusted to take on your hurt, but words and the poems can. So, I unload, every day because there is so much hidden behind the peeling walls of justice.
Read poetry to be human!
